Video Interviews With Soldiers of the 2-112th Armor

Interview with Specialist Douglas Letz and his wife, Holly - In November 2004, local Dallas, Texas ABC affiliate WFAA did a story featuring one of the great soldiers from C Co, 2-112th Armor, (then Specialist and now Corporal) Douglas "Doug" Letz and his charming and beautiful wife, Holly. Corporal Letz has been a bedrock of stability and source of great moral for his Platoon, setting a sterling example for others to emulate; while his wife, Holly, has been extremely active with the unit Family Readiness Group, keeping faith with fellow family members while their loved ones have been deployed.

Video Produced by Soldiers of the 2-112th Armor

The following videos were produced by some of the soldiers of C Co, 2-112th Armor. These videos range in content from humorous and emotional, to downright "gung-ho!" Most contain all original images and video depicting soldiers of C Co, 2-112th AR in action. However some do contain "stock" images and video taken from other sources. In the description of each individual video, all efforts have been made to clarify the content contained within the video and to give credit where it is due.

How to Disarm a Nuke! - Believe it or not, soldiers from Co Co, 2-112th Armor have discovered evidence of Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq! However, before this evidence could be moved and further documented, it had to be rendered safe. In this humorous video, you will learn why performing such tasks should be left up to the experts! Produced by SPC Hyoun "Chris" Kim - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

Kung Fu Fighting! - It's probably not what you think - Insurgent terrorist ninjas taking over New York City! This clever and humorous video was made from a compilation of footage of the soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor, from their time at Fort Hood, Texas, Camp Victory, Kuwait, Camp Cedar II, Iraq, and Camp Taqaddum, Iraq. No one ever said they were smart or good actors, but they are funny nevertheless! Produced by SPC Hyoun "Chris" Kim - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

I'm  Already There - An emotional look at the soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor, set to the tune of "I am Already There" by "Lone Star", and made with all original footage of their travels to Iraq and time spent in Iraq thus far. For you ladies, be advised that a "Mascara Alert" is in effect if you decide to view this video! For you guys, this will fill you with "Texas Pride"! Produced by SPC Hyoun "Chris" Kim - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

Tent Life In Iraq - Ever wonder what it is like to be a soldier in Iraq and what goes on within the tents in which we live? Well, here is your chance to find out! This humorous video, featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor, uses all original footage, and makes life here in Iraq look like a cross between M*A*S*H*, Private Benjamin, and Stripes! Things aren't always so lively, but you can bet your bottom dollar that some joke or prank is always around the corner with these guys! Produced by SPC Jacob Smith - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

Letters From Home - Another emotional look at the soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor, set to the tune of "Letters From Home", made with both original and "stock" footage. Be warned that this one pulls at the heart strings! Produced by SPC Jacob Smith - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

So Far From Home - A video that expresses just how quickly time and distance can change the thoughts of "home" into a distant memory for soldiers serving in Iraq, Contains with both original and "stock" footage. Produced by SPC Jacob Smith - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

56th BCT Deployment Ceremony - January 1st, 2005: As Americans celebrated the beginning of a New Year for 2005, the soldiers of the 56th Brigade Combat Team gathered at Floyd Casey Stadium on the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas for one final formation before setting off for a year long deployment to Iraq. Thirty thousand people, mostly friends and families of these fine and dedicated soldiers, looked on and wished them good luck and Godspeed. Within forty-eight hours after the end of the ceremony the first elements of the 56th BCT "main body" left the United States for Iraq to "help make the world safe from terrorism".

Haunting Images Of Iraq - A stunningly collection of both still and video images set to music in such a way that it feels as though you are looking into the dreams of a soldier who has served in Iraq, as the soldier remembers things seen. Produced by SPC Jacob Smith - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.

We Chosen Few - This could possibly be one of the greatest "tribute" videos on the internet, dedicated not only to the men of the 2-112th Armor and the Marines who serve directly with them at Camp Taqaddum, but to all soldiers and Marines who have served on the ground during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom II, and Operation Iraqi Freedom III. This video is nothing less than majestic in its visual and musical content. Produced by SPC Jacob Smith.

Cruising in Iraq - A "gung-ho", "shoot-'em-up-bang-bang" video if there ever was one! If you like action and excitement, you'll love this video! It is, thus far, my favorite "action" video! Made with original and stock images, follow 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor, as they go on patrol and travel to such places the mean streets of Fallujah and downtown Baghdad. Set to the tune of "Keep on Rolling" by "Limp Bizkit", be forewarned that the song contains lyrics with "adult" language. Produced by SPC Jacob Smith.

Dead Bodies Everywhere - Another wild "shoot-'em-up-bang-bang" video! If you liked "Cruising Iraq", you are sure to enjoy this video as well. The video is titled after the song it is set to, "Dead Bodies Everywhere" by "Korn" (For those who are concerned, this video does NOT depict a single dead person - although the song contains lyrics with "adult" language). Made with original and stock images. Produced by SPC Jacob Smith - Featuring soldiers from 1st Platoon, C Co, 2-112th Armor.
